Bethel Christian Fellowship is a small, loving, mature fellowship, which is currently outreaching into the local community. Our Tuesday coffee and fellowship mornings are continually growing and are adding to our Sunday meetings. The Sunday morning meeting is devoted to worship, a time of open prayer, communion, and a message for the day . All visitors are warmly welcomed.
Our History Bethel Christian Fellowship is an established church which has been meeting in Hastings for over 5 decades, having previously been known under the name “Bethel Full Gospel Church” changing its name to Bethel Christian Fellowship some years ago, under the previous Pastor Peter Saunders. Dave West retired in December 2025 and our new Pastor Richard Stoodley has taken on the baton for the next chapter.
What We Believe
Statement of Belief in Jesus Christ and the Truth of the Word of God
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, who came to earth to die for our sins and to rise again so that we could have eternal life. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it is the ultimate authority for our lives.
We believe in the following core doctrines:
- The Trinity: God exists as three persons in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The Incarnation: Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.
- The Atonement: Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.
- The Resurrection: Jesus Christ rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion.
- The Ascension: Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- The Second Coming: Jesus Christ will return to earth to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, leads us to repentance, and empowers us to live a life that is pleasing to God.
